Who we are
Qistit (“Qistit”, “we”, “us” or “our”) operates the website qistit.com and the Qistit mobile app, through which we sell electronics and other products on easy monthly installments (Buy Now, Pay Later) in Pakistan. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect
Account information: your name, mobile phone number and CNIC (national identity number), which you provide when you create an account. Because installment financing requires verifying who you are, providing your CNIC is necessary to open an account.
Identity verification (KYC): images of the front and back of your CNIC, an optional profile photo, and your address details (city, area and full address). We use these to verify your identity before approving installment orders.
Order and installment information: the products you order, the installment plan you choose, your delivery address, an optional alternative contact number, order notes, and your payment schedule and payment history.
Payment information: when you pay an installment you may upload proof of payment (for example an EasyPaisa, JazzCash or bank transfer receipt) along with a reference number and the amount. We do not collect or store your full card or bank account credentials; payments are made through third-party providers.
Device and technical information: cookies and similar identifiers, your device and browser type, IP address, and — in the mobile app — a push notification device token so we can send you updates about your orders and payments.
Communications: messages you send us for support, and records of the verification codes and notifications we send you.
How We Use Your Information
To create and manage your account, and to sign you in securely.
To verify your identity (KYC) and assess and manage installment orders.
To process your orders, arrange delivery, and manage your installment schedule and payments.
To send you service messages — such as verification codes, order and delivery updates, and payment reminders — by WhatsApp, SMS, push notification or phone.
To provide customer support and warranty assistance, to prevent fraud and abuse, and to comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
With your consent, to send you promotions and product recommendations. You can opt out of marketing at any time.
WhatsApp Verification Codes (OTP)
When you sign up or sign in, we send a one-time verification code to your phone number over WhatsApp using the Meta WhatsApp Business Platform. We use your number only to deliver this code and related account and order messages.
Verification codes are short-lived and expire shortly after they are issued. Delivery of WhatsApp messages is also subject to Meta’s own terms and privacy policy.
Cookies
When you sign in, we store a secure authentication token in a cookie so you stay logged in. This cookie expires after a limited period, and is removed when you sign out.
We use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, keep your shopping session, and understand how the store is used so we can improve it.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, but some features of the site may not work properly without them.
Push Notifications (Mobile App)
If you use the Qistit mobile app and allow notifications, we register a device token to send you updates about your orders, payments and account. You can turn off notifications at any time in your device settings.
Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our service, including with:
Delivery and courier partners, to deliver your orders (name, address and phone number).
Payment providers (such as EasyPaisa, JazzCash and banks), to process and confirm your installment payments.
Messaging and notification providers, including Meta (WhatsApp) for verification codes and Apple/Google push services for the mobile app.
Product suppliers and manufacturers, where necessary to fulfil orders or support warranty and after-sales service.
Government authorities, regulators or law enforcement, where we are legally required to do so or to protect our rights and prevent fraud.
How Long We Retain Your Data
We keep your account, identity, order and payment information for as long as your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the service, support warranties, and meet financial, tax and legal requirements.
You can request deletion of your account. When you do, we deactivate your account and remove or anonymise your personal data, except where we must retain certain records (for example completed installment and payment records) to comply with the law.
What Rights You Have Over Your Data
You can access and update your profile information (including name, phone, CNIC and address) from your account at any time.
You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to delete your account and data, subject to records we are legally obliged to keep.
You can opt out of promotional messages while continuing to receive essential service messages about your orders and payments.

Data Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, hashed credentials and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data and limit access to those who need it.
Children’s Privacy
Qistit is intended for adults who are eligible to enter into installment agreements. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date below and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of Qistit means you accept the updated policy.
